I am Joseph, an Ivorian passionate about economics. I am currently measuring in Global Economics at Hosei University in Tokyo. Before coming to Japan I was studying statistics in Abidjan, the capital city of Côte d'Ivoire. Economics is an awesome subject because it allows us to understand the society and take policies towards common goals. I also enjoy speaking many languages, I speak French, English, 2 local languages in Côte d'Ivoire, a bit of Spanish and Japanese. My research is about how we can reduce poverty and fight against climate change.

I have always been attracted by the Japanese culture, technology, and all the opportunities that Japan offers. In the future I want to be an entrepreneur. I precisely want to create a microfinance company to do  finance projects, mostly those toward poverty reduction and global warming, so that I will contribute in the development of my country and the well being of the society.

Studying in Japan is an amazing opportunity that helps us to move out of our comfort zone, grow personally, learn more about discipline and the Japanese culture. It is a good opportunity to get advanced quality of education, make connections, and learn new innovative tools and things that can be adapted in our specific countries in Africa.
