On 21 May 2021, Regional Office in Sub-Saharan Africa hosted a webinar to introduce Japanese Language and Culture.
We have invited Ms. Subila Chilupula from Zambia as the day's sensei (teacher). She is currently studying at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, more on her can be read from her VOICE.
She presented the basic pronunciation, various script types and cultural aspects of Japan. Also touching briefly on the similarities of Japanese language with the Bemba language!
The lecture attendee were limited to those who are associated with University of Zambia (UNZA) and whom we have been in communication regarding Japanese class conducted at UNZA.
